Replace each noun in parenthesis with its plural form. Be sure to remove the parentheses in your answer.

Correct : Your job is to sharpen all the knives in the kitchen.
Nouns that end in -fe form the plural by changing the f to v before adding s.
Original: Some apartment dwellers grow (tomato) in hanging baskets.
Correct : Some apartment dwellers grow tomatoes in hanging baskets.
Words that end in -o form the plural by adding -es. An exception to this rule is that when the final o is preceded by another vowel, the plural is formed by adding s only: zoo/zoos; studio/studios.
Original: I will give you my decision after I have read all the (analysis).
Correct : I will give you my decision after I have read all the analyses.
Many nouns that end in -is in the singular change i to e to form the plural: oasis/oases; synopsis/synopses.
Original: I just bought three new (mouse) for my computers.
Correct : I just bought three new mice for my computers.
The word mouse is among the oldest words in the language. Even in its new tech-related meaning, it takes the traditional plural, mice.
Original: There’s a mattress company that uses whimsical (sheep) in their advertisements.
Correct : There’s a mattress company that uses whimsical sheep in their advertisements.
Sheep is another ancient word with an irregular plural. The form does not change: one sheep/two sheep.
