I came here to read all the stories and vote, but the poll is closed and it's only 1:00 PM on Sunday.

A couple of these were really good, but the "Call Me Mrs. Malaprop" hit too close to home - well done!

Number 2 had me going - very well written, engaging... and then #6! I laughed, and went back to confirm #2 was a high quality piece of work. I nodded, and went through the rest of the stories... but after all, it was #6 that got my vote. 'Jaguar' wrote well, but just came up against 'Benjamin Hall' this time around.

I wish we could vote for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, weighted 1 = 3 points, 2 = 2 points, 3 = 1 point - then tally everything by total points. This would permit an easier carryover when we vote on the very final set of contenders, and I wouldn't feel so bad about leaving 'Jaguar' in the dust. Oh well...

And thank you for allowing us to comment this time. Comments are a great addition to the competition!
