Introducing Slayer

Hello, everyone. I found this site by way of Google, and am delighted to be here in effort to strengthen my writing skills. First of all, I'm married with children.

I currently work as a business professional in the IT field here in Houston, but am hopefully about to become a full time high school teacher.

I've enjoyed creative writing since I was a very small child. Often my mother likes to whip out old stories that I have written, which often begs the question of what kind of drugs my parents fed me. I'm highly imaginative, but honing in on central ideas is my weakness. My hopes are to improve that aspect of my writing.

Currently, I'm writing a sci-fi/fantasy novel, and would like to gain tips of the trade, receive constructive criticism from fellow writers, and improve my skills in this craft.
