Hi, everyone!
I have been a "budding" writer since my 10th grade English teacher squeezed the first poem out of my reluctant head. Would you believe I have every poem I've written since then except that one?! I have also written several essays (guess that's what you call them).
In the 1970's, I took a correspondence course for writing children's books, but I have not been published. I have written for the community newspaper and had several articles published in office newsletters. I have been penning my emotions (excitement, depression, love, hurt, and everything else a woman feels) for most of my life. In the past few keyboarding years, my one-page wonders have entertained my family, friends and co-workers. My writing reveals my nostalgic, sentimental self or asks the reader to laugh with me at myself.
Erma Bombeck is my hero, and I would love to learn to write like she did.
I'm here to learn from other writers and grow from bud to bloom!
