Barbecue or barbeque? :D

I would say both are correct. Here is a quote from Wikipedia:
The spelling barbeque is given in Merriam-Webster OnLine (barbeque) as a variant spelling but not in the Concise Oxford English Dictionary (barbecue).

I suspect (though haven't been able to find evidence yet!) that "barbecue" may be more common in US English and "barbeque" in UK English.
What puzzles me is why the spelling "barbecue" is more predominant when the abbreviation is always "BBQ" not "BBC"! ;-) I suppose it's because of the pronunciation, and to avoid confusing with the British Broadcasting Corporation...
Edit: I've just looked it up in the Oxford English Dictionary which only gives the "barbecue" spelling, not "barbeque" so I'd advise using the former!

Good point Ali.
Yes I agree with the rule of thumb of using barbecue. You can't go wrong with it.
Here in Hong Kong, people don't say barbecue, but literally B.B.Q. I find it so annoying, as a lot of people do not even understand if you say barbecue...

It is, indeed, barbecue. I misspell it all the time of course, because in my head "cue" should be "que."
Silly brain. I attribute it to the fact that when we abbreviate it, we use BBQ, which makes no sense when you are spelling it out.
