Dark, evil powers

In my work, the main character uses a dark power. One example is he can become invisible in shadows. If anyone can think of any other powers he could use would be sweet.

Well I definitely like the bat and spider for companions...they would be something that could be used in dark areas....as for powers....maybe use some powers from the creatures of night. The spider can climb, so maybe this person can climb up and become invisible in any shadow no matter how high it goes. Or maybe they have a high pitch scream hard to hear....but definitely hurts...this based off of a bat's use of a high pitch to detect objects. I know that bat's sounds don't really hurt people...but just giving examples...hope that helps

Ya thanks I have been seriously considering the bat option. In my book the character already has a wolf as a companion, only the wolf grows to a size that 2 people can ride it. Also the main character and the wolf both have a collar that gives them a telepathic link. These animals have been altered genetically to make them more intelligent and friendly to humans. There are facilities that take the sperm and egg (contained in crafted figurines depicting the animal) so he will have a bracelet for the bat that allows him to see what it sees and know what's it's thinking and vice versa. It'll probably be a little bit bigger than the typical bat. This way he will be able to scout areas with a "bird's eye view" even at night.
