Hello there
This one seems to be really causing me some grief!
If you can direct me to some good examples of use, that would be fantastic.

British usage distinguishes between practice and practise; American usage does not.
In British usage, practice is a noun and practise is a verb.
Reviewing the day's events is a good practice. (noun)
You should practise what you preach. (verb)
In American usage, practice is both noun and verb.
I make a practice of watching the evening news.
My child practices the flute for two hours every day.

If you find it tricky to decide whether you're using a noun or verb, replace practice/practise with advice/advise, where you can "hear" the different pronunciation. Whichever makes most sense indicates which spelling to use. It also works with licence/license.
