Hi!
I'm Most Moon from S.Korea

The other day, I happened to be asked the below question.
In my view, there seems to be no wrong senteneces.
If any, I think it's ④. Is it right?
Please, tell me the anwser and why. Thanks in advance.

* Choose the wrong sentence.
① My suggestion is that to keep good health, she learn how to quit smoking.
② It is imperative that you be generous when you look after young children.
③ This report suggests that the considerable experiment should be conducted.
④ She proposed her son reconsider giving up the plan.
⑤ Her mother insisted that Susan finish watering the flowers.

This one is incorrect:

① My suggestion is that to keep good health, she learn how to quit smoking.

It should be:

My suggestion is that to keep good health, she learns how to quit smoking.

"learns" is the third person singular form of "learn."

In my opinion, the original of the fiirst sentence is "My suggestion is that to keep good health, she (should) learn how to quit smoking."

Therefore, the first sentence is right..^^

This one is incorrect:

① My suggestion is that to keep good health, she learn how to quit smoking.

It should be:

My suggestion is that to keep good health, she learns how to quit smoking.

"learns" is the third person singular form of "learn."

Either one of these would seem (from the standpoint of my English grammar ear) to be correct:

I suggest that she should learn how.

I suggest that she learns how.

WhiteSmoke, my English grammar software, approved of both. It also indicated that:

My suggestion is that to keep good health, she learn how to quit smoking.

should be changed to

My suggestion is that to keep good health, she learns how to quit smoking.

or

My suggestion is that to keep good health, she learned how to quit smoking.
(Which seems to be wrong to my ear.)
