Hi folks...

Forgive my poor grammar :D

and forgive me if this question is not being asked in the correct forum (i wasn't sure where to post).

My dilema is; i have just finished building a website that will launch imminently, and at the bottom of this website (the footer) there is a permanent welcome note/site description, that is seen on every page.

Although i read a lot of novels, and can 'feel' when i'm reading something well written, i failed English in a bad way at school because i'm hopeless at composition.

I basically need just a brief description about what the website offers, which is 'News' for the current fans, and 'Information' about the sport to people looking into it (what it is, how it works, and where & when to see it, etc).

This is the what i've written. I've tried multiple times to write this site intro, and am just not happy with it. It feels clucky and maybe pretentious to read.
