Hi all!
I am seeking an exhaustive list of verbs and their prepositions. Specifically, does anyone know the rule for "suited" - suited to or suited for? Or does it depend on the usage. Appreciate your assistance.
Thanks
Anne-Marie

With prepositions, usage/idiom is the key.
It's too early in the morning for me to try to formulate a "rule" for suited, but here are two examples of different uses:
His boisterous behavior is not suited to indoor activities.
Because of his slight build, he is not suited for work that requires heavy lifting.
Here are links to several DWT articles I've written on prepositions:
general article on prepositions: http://www.dailywritingtips.com/english-grammar-101-prepositions/
prepositions at the end: http://www.dailywritingtips.com/go-ahead-put-that-preposition-at-the-end/
prepositions for the perplexed: http://www.dailywritingtips.com/prepositions-for-the-perplexed/
idiomatic usage: http://www.dailywritingtips.com/idiomatic-english/
Let me know when you find that exhaustive list.
P.S. I will be happy to provide a DWT article that lists some of the most common some time.
