Maybe we could put up a note if a group we belong to is accepting new members?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who belongs to one, and I found it darn hard to find one that suited me. (I write Paranormal Romance.)
Whatcha think? :)

I know that I couldn't do without my writing group. And it was sheer luck that I found it.
To help other writers in Arkansas who are searching for kindred spirits, I've set up a website:
http://www.arkansaswriters.com
Any writer based in Arkansas can ask for a free listing. They can also submit writing-related announcements.

I belong to a group of Paranormal Romance writers on Yahoo. We have room, but we're picky. :)
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/paranormalromancecritique/ is the address for the group on Yahoo, and if you wanted to get to know us ladies (yep, we're all girls) we also have a blog at http://www.wickedwenches.co.uk/blog/
(The place where I can't get your feed to work! LOL)
Sometimes it all goes quiet, other times you have like 20 posts an hour. :)
Depends what we are all doing.
Two of us are currently getting stuck in at www.kiwiwriters.org, doing the SoCNoC challenge (50k in June), so we're typing like crazy people.
I don't know of any local writing groups where I live (Surrey, UK) and since I don't have a car... going some place awkward is out of the question. :)
Hence I'm quite happy with my online groups usually.

Hey there. I've been looking into writing groups in my area for a long time. (Southern Ontario - Northumberland) I can't seem to find anything... at all. And I find that if I were to join an online one, I wouldn't be very commited. So if anyone knows of one around here at all, it would certainly be very helpful.
If you know of an online one, I would be willing to check it out. I think if it had the environment I was looking for I would surely return on a regular basis.
Thanks:D

For those who are looking for feedback on fantasy works, I belong to a group called the Dargon Project. It's a group of writers who create stories set in a shared fantasy world.
The website's currently abysmal. We're undergoing a redesign that should surface in July. At any rate, you've been warned. You can see it here:
http://www.dargonzine.org
We're currently looking for new writers. We've also just opened up a workshop area for writers who have stories that are not set in the shared world but who would like feedback from our group members. That address is:
http://www.dargonzine.org/dpww/forum/index.php
Come on by if you're interested. Our writers also appreciate feedback on their stories, and every published story has a ratings box near the end.

I'm the owner and moderator of the NanoWriters online writing group. We have about 300 members and discuss all kinds of things. We originally began as a post-Nano get-together site, but it's grown much since then. We are always open for membership.
