Sorry to be pedantic, but here's a thought on the origin of the Ceasar nickname - since the gene for male pattern baldness runs through the mother's line, it seems unlikely that it could be linked to hereditary baldness traced to a distant male ancestor. (Incestuous unions in Roman times notwithstanding ;-) I like Pliny's explanation. Loved it!
