I was asked to write a story about a friends grandaughter.
Then I had an idea that I could write a story for everyones grandchild only inserting their own name.
Now I am “publishing” between ten and twenty a week for friends of friends.
I make up the stories and they go down well.
It could turn out to be quite a good business without relying on others to pay me for writing.
Thought I would tell you, that´s all.

thanks, these are very nice suggestions but i do not know how to get started. where will i find which magazines need articles? as a beginner how do u get involved in these industries?

I mentioned some of my favorite writing job boards in my post Entry Level Writing Jobs. I would also mention that though Colin is correct that those writing jobs can pay handsomely, most of them don't pay handsomely. Employers always seem to want something for nothing, or something for little. They usually discover that "you get what you pay for."
